Today, our school was filled with smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer as we celebrated our Winter Carnival! Students earned the opportunity to attend by demonstrating outstanding behavior—earning 85% or more of their daily PBIS points during the first half of the year and having zero behavior referrals. We are so proud of their hard work, positive choices, and commitment to our school expectations! 🌟
Students enjoyed 9 festive stations, including a bean bag toss, ice skate race, snowball toss, holiday coloring, and many more winter-themed activities. As they played, students were able to earn tickets, which they later used to shop in our Reindeer Rewards Holiday Shop for some great goodies! 🎁🦌

We are so excited to celebrate two amazing LES educators who were selected to receive $1,000 each from Hertrich’s Cash for Class! 👏
🎨 Mrs. Marshall, our talented Art Teacher, will use her funds to purchase art show presentation boards, helping our students proudly showcase their creativity and hard work.
🛠️ Mrs. Horn, our innovative STEM Teacher, will use her funds to buy cardboard building supplies, allowing students to design and create a portable putt-putt golf course—learning engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork along the way! ⛳
We are so grateful to Hertrich’s for investing in our classrooms and for supporting hands-on, student-centered learning at LES. 💙❤️ Way to go, Mrs. Marshall and Mrs. Horn—we can’t wait to see these projects come to life!

A huge thank you to all of our families who joined us for Winterfest—it was a wonderful evening filled with joy, celebration, and community spirit! We are incredibly grateful for the generous donations from our community partners and for the amazing staff and Laurel High School student volunteers who helped make the event possible. ❤️
We also want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we introduced a new format for the Winterfest concert this year. We’ve already taken notes and are excited to make it even better next year! Your support and feedback mean so much to us. ❄️🐾
